Interview: Roberta Perez

Norway DMC

Roberta is a seasoned travel industry professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. After starting her career at Disneyworld in the late 1980s, she returned to her native Sao Paolo to run a local agency before eventually moving to Sweden and establishing Nordic Ways, a company that now operates in four Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

Roberta is known for her warm, friendly, and caring personality, and she is passionate about creating unique projects and providing exceptional experiences for her clients.

When asked about the three must-do experiences in Sweden for incentives, Roberta emphasized the importance of concepts and highlighted the Nobel Prize as a particularly prestigious and elegant touch for rewarding employees. She also emphasized the simplicity and humility of the Swedish monarchy, suggesting that visitors experience this aspect of Swedish culture by going on a picnic in the Arctic Forest and drinking local berry fruit tea and eating traditional Sami bread.

For incentives in Denmark, Roberta recommends incorporating the concept of Lego as a unique teambuilding activity. She notes that design and architecture are also major inspirations in Denmark and that the Lego structure can be used as principles to develop and strengthen a company.

In Finland, Roberta suggests hosting a unique gala dinner at the Central Library in Helsinki. She praises the city for its simplicity, elegance, and focus on education, and notes that the library itself is a beautiful and advanced venue with amenities such as an auditorium, conference rooms, gaming rooms, cooking classrooms, 3D printers, and wood printers.
